Among the most famous strains worldwide is White Widow, a balanced hybrid first bred in the Netherlands by Green House Seeds. A cross between a Brazilian sativa landrace and a resin-heavy South Indian indica,  White Widow has blessed every Dutch coffee shop menu since its birth in the 1990s. Its buds are white with crystal resin, warning you of the potent effects to come. A powerful burst of euphoria and energy breaks through immediately, stimulating both conversation and creativity. White Widow’s genetics have given rise to many other legends like White RussianWhite Rhino, and Blue Widow. Still, many growers prefer cultivation of the original White Widow, which flowers in about 60 days indoors.

Description

  • Berry White, also known as “White Berry” to many cannabis connoisseurs, is a 100% pure indica strain that is the “celebrity child” of the insanely popular Blueberry X White Widow strains.

Despite its indica parentage, Berry White exhibits effects from both indica and sativa strains, leading to a balanced effect that offers relaxation and mind relief with a sense of euphoria. Users describe the Berry White high as one that is fast hitting, leading to an immediate feeling of relaxation and a widespread warming sensation. These feelings peak after about an hour, before fading into freely flowing meditative thoughts and a feeling of mellow couch-lock and the munchies. Due to these effects, Berry White is an ideal strain for treating conditions such as chronic pain and stress as well as insomnia. Berry White buds have dense, popcorn shaped nugs that are a dark olive green with deep blue and rich purple undertones and a spattering of curly purple leaves. It is flecked with long thin dark olive green hairs and is absolutely caked in an almost overwhelming layer of thick crystal trichomes, paying tribute to its White Widow parentage. This dank bud has an aroma of tangy sweet blueberry and a taste of sweet blueberry cake.

Wow.. This strain will pull you out of a funk in a quickness. Within five minutes of inhaling Berry White I was smiling, laughing, and had the most creative ideas. Berry white was flavorful and smelled great! Very pungent! This easily moved into my top Five strains! Try some Berry White ASAP

Finally got some, I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this. The buds are nice looking nothing spectacular but nice, they’re sprinkled on the outside clustered trichomes on the inside. The bag smelled like skunky berries but when I broke open the buds they had the aroma of blueberries and gasoline and quite pungent inviting ador. The high is awesome euphoric blast instantly great relaxing body and head buzz after a while kinda tingly too. The flavor is alright not what I expected but not bad, kinda flowery a little pungent not much berry but it’s there. All in all great strain great indica I love it

  4. sandra

Berry white is what I imagine Betty White smokes. When I smoked this BW it put me into a really deep thought for an hour. I loved it.

  5. kelvin

Deceptively strong. This strain is not very attractive and the smell is mild but it gets me high. It’s such a creeper that I filled a restraining order 😉

  6. winks

love that .. the Bellagio Green Barry White concentrate is the bomb

  7. kia

Berry White: THUG. If you want to just chill, smile, blow smoke circles and NOT choke, I present you thee Berry White. It’s a truly lovable strain. Although not the most potent, it definitely gives you a nice light but fast high. 2 hits and I was buzzed. Great night smoke, doesn’t make you sleepy but if you happen to lay back a little too comfortable, you’re out like a light.. Will savor the rest I have. Smoke up, y’all

  8. balo

white widow is a thought provoking borderline racy for first 30 mins blueberry is always relaxing on the body and euphoric. I would like about a 70/30 BB to WW ratio myself. Alert and able to focus yet content, happy, and extremely relaxed. THC @ 16% is still very high. Most producers exaggerate THC beyond belief as I’m one who doesn’t buy 30%+ flower. All i know is blueberry @ 16.5% is tasty and has plenty of strength and legs!!

  9. luuna

Very good for opiate withdrawal. I was able to come off pain meds on my first try when I no longer needed them after my surgery helped my pain disease. BW made me much more comfortable during a very physically & emotionally difficult time, I attribute this as a big part of my success!

Also called Whiteberry or White Berry. A cross between White Widow and Blueberry. This is one of my Top 10 strains. An even head/body high that gives focus and clarity to one’s mind, yet it also makes one feel relaxed, uplifted and somewhat euphoric. Good for depression and sparking creativity.

Berry White is absolutely worth the try. The smell and taste are reminiscent of a piney campfire, with a little bit of berry added. The high is effective and strong, yet wonderfully manageable and stable. (I could imagine, though, that a first time user could get a little panicked from the super complete affect of this strain. I get just as head high as I do body high with Berry White, and both highs set in relatively slowly yet perfectly synced. (Unlike strains like Afgoo or Gelato.) This strain leaves the smoker feeling very relaxed physically, and gives an optimistic spin to your thoughts. Anxious people to the front of the line. Insomniacs next. This is a bit stoney, so I wouldn’t advise taking this and like, going shopping. I’m not usually a critic of texture or smokability, but one of the reasons I like Berry White is because it has taken on some great characteristics of one of its parent strains, Blueberry. Berry White is crumbly and easy to grind up just like its blueberry parent, and the crystals stay on the leaf. It also goes down very smoothly. I find indicas often leave me coughing, but this is an exception, thanks to its blueberry properties.

Wow. I pulled 3 times from the Volcano: Berry White has just assisted me in a major breakthrough at work (‘tho i am breaking to write my observations;-) My hearing is more detailed and i am noticing nuances in music that i haven’t heard since i was a child.*I just made a series of “errors” in my work, realized i was thinking way faster than my mouse could keep up, and chuckled at myself! Nice to have fun at work. I’m feeling so energetic and creative…and smiley.* I was meditating earlier today and this guided meditation has two sine wave/bell tones. I don’t know what frequencies they are, but i can hear them now, at random, in a sound isolated room.* At the one-hour mark, i feel a little heaviness in the body, my focus is wavering slightly, and i’m still feeling peaceful about everything. Including the work i have due in 5.5 hours and haven’t started yet! I had some pain in my left hand’s fingers that lessened significantly after i vaped. The sore muscles i earned while exercising feel relaxed and pain-free. *As i start to feel fatigue behind my eyes (not lidlock), i’m vaping a bag of White Widow. Thanks, Berry, see ya soon!

One word, UNDERRATED! Anxiety free indica with not so heavy couch lock. You will be comfortable and chilling but surely not a falling asleep zombie. I suffer from anxiety and occasional insomnia so I lean toward indica. When I can find a strain that doesn’t fully knock me out but relieve what I need everything feels right and that my friends is berry white. The effects or this strain far outshine it’s decent smell and taste. I’ve had two 8ths of “middle shelf” aka “outdoor” berry white flower. Both looked, smelled, tasted and felt the same. I’d guess the same plant but who knows. Overall give it a try you won’t be let down. ?

Picked up from a local dispensary, was a little soft for my liking, so much so it was hard to grind. I’ll leave it out for a little bit to dry it up. All in all smoked pretty good, real smooth, minor cough. I have a high tolerance but this one hit me on the 1st bowl within 7 minutes. Head high then body relaxation. It made me more creative and logical. Ex. I had an idea for an invention while toking back on God’s Gift. After smoking Berry White, I realized it was a dumb idea after all.I’m so so stupid. By the way, I’m typing this while still on my high from Berry White, so I guess you could say it creates some energetic moods as well. I could prob BS a good research paper right now…yeah so this one is legit like Betty White, dang that’s what they should call this strain Betty White, not Berry. Oh yeah very hint taste of berry on the exhale. Heard a car drive by. freaked out thought it was a cop, cops freak me out man

  15. fluww

Looked beautiful, when I got a batch it was spelt “Barry White”. Oh man the way this strain looked was crazy to say the least.White in color mostly crystals. Fluffy, smelled pungent and a little sour.

  16. kelvin

BERRY!!! BERRRY WHITEE!!! (in rob dyrdek voice) This strain is amazing the buds were very keefy and using my bong did the job! I would feel very relaxed helping my back but also euphorically happy making my life fantastic

  17. kelvin

Actually, from what I’ve heard and read, Berry White is actually Blue Widow. (blueBERRY x WHITE widow versus BLUEberry x white WIDOW). White Berry is a totally different strain. Maybe merge this with the Blue Widow page and have it redirect? After checking to be sure my genetics information is correct.

Method of consumption – Flower; Smoking. —- Smell – Definitely sweet. It reminds me of a blueberry sweet tart at first inhale (non-smoking). However, if you give it another sniff or two. You might be able to detect light earthy tones as if you were standing next to a berry bush. —- Taste – Blueberry with a hint of vanilla. Not overly sweet; It ranges between semi-sweet to sweet. Smooth. —- Effect – I’ve mentioned that I’m type who gets the high delayed in other review. It’s not the case with this strain. It calmly and slowly creeps up on you. Which is an amazing mellow type of high. My stress levels were significantly dropping down after few puffs. Tensions in my body, mostly in my back where the pressure has been hitting on my herniated disc, was ironed out little by a little bit. It’s uplifting as well for both body and cerebral parts. It gives you the floating tingly type of feeling if you become too aware of your body. It also would lift you away from your current worries as you sit back and enjoy small things. Which was great for my PTSD and anxiety. It doesn’t have the heavy couch-lock qualities but it might be enough to transit you to sleep. A gentle push for insomniacs, I’d imagine so. (I was able to get a full eight hours of sleep once I decided to call it a night.) Giggle factor is there. I watched an episode of iZombie last night on HuluPlus and giggled at simple yet good-hearted remarks. — Negatives – Dry mouth. No doubt about it. However, it was easily solved by a pint of ice cream (half, actually). — Munchies – Low to medium. It depends, really. I didn’t had a hungry attack because I was satisfied with ice cream. — Extra – I’d recommend this strain to anybody who wants an easy-going high or doesn’t want to be heavily medicated.

I’ve tried a number of strains recently, trying to find one that can control pain and nausea without causing anxiety or paranoia. I think I’ve found the right combo in Berry White. The Blueberry and White Widow parents are legendary in their own right, but this phenotype is amazing. I’ve seen it said that this is a sativa dominant strain, but I have to disagree. The tightly packed buds appear sativa, with a light green color and orange hairs. However, the effects are heavy hitting in both sativa and indica qualities. For me, the sativa and indica effects hit simultaneously after about three minutes, with a creative, lifted feeling but also a warm body pull and relaxation from the indica side. The peak lasts about an hour and slowly tapers off for the next 2-3 hours. Although this isn’t a couch-lock strain, I wouldn’t medicate with it if I needed to do anything important in the next few hours, especially requiring concentration. Thoughts flow freely with this strain. Although not necessarily a nighttime med, it can be used as such as it is very relaxing, but doesn’t force your eyes closed, glued to the couch like some strains. Good for pain and relaxing mind and muscle. Although not the best for nausea, it’s not bad. Medium munchie factor. This strain would be good for pain, anxiety, stress, nausea, etc. Although it shouldn’t make someone act the fool, it’s not particularly functional meds. I highly recommend this strain if lightly engaging out of the house or chilling at home. Probably my current favorite.

?? Berry White is a unique and awesome hybrid. Very balanced and not too heavy, this strain provides a winning combination of effects. The flavor has a very earthy taste and subtle berry undertone to it. Fantastic smoke and even better high. Relaxing at first, then the mood lift sets in. Perfect in the evening or for any social situation. This strain has personally inspired a couple of creative works and deserves some recognition as a legend. If you generally don’t like indicas, I want you to forget what you think you know and give Berry White a try. You’re welcome.

My roommate had just bought a gravity bong (Something I had never tried) and I just got my medical license. So, on my way home I went to the local dispensary and got this strain for free, being a FTC. I got home happily with a brownie and a cheap bubbler, so we set up his new gravity bong and put in the free strain I got. Did a few large hits and started noticing faults I had in life right now and how I could make my situation better. I was panicking a bit due to feeling overwhelmed. I relaxed, and had some time to absorb it all. I then decided it wouldn’t be that hard to change into who I wanted to be. This high that felt like a powerful anomaly had me set goals for myself and do what’s right. tl;dr Try this strain if you seek some guidance through tough times. Pretty inspirational strain.

  22. amstrong

This is fast becoming one of my favorite strains. It does not make me sing in a deep sexy romantic low voice like Barry White…… But, Berry White is “berry, berry, berry good… Happy upbeat mellow high that keeps on trucking and keeps you in a good place for good amount of time…. I will keep this one in the pantry on the top shelf…… You would do right by doing the same.

I feel like I don’t have arms. I just really want gazpacho. I like leopards and bobcats and Stefan from The Vampire Diaries. In Vermont there are a lot of lesbians. And they tap syrup. I like a Separate Peace by George Knowles. I have all of my teeth. Okay, so the real thing I’m trying to say here in this rainforest is that this shit dope as fuck and I am at a pond and I hear rain and frogs and I’m hearing crickets so I have to be hallucinating. I am so smart right now with filling out this survey. I feel like someone is warming my toes. Warm maple syrup. Now I am just really relaxed. I feel like a beach boy and I still have my coat on. I want some tasty Mesquite barbecue. I would love pulled pork on a bun and I want to be on a space shuttle to watch the works above me. I love some toasted English muffins and some real muffins on my wild mustang farm. I would have a corn silo. This is some dizzy shit. I am chill as fuck. I am so dizzy. and relaxed this is heavy. I could be numb or sleepy. I feel all my muscles and I want to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while eating chicken nuggets.
